Join me in my jewellery studio for a relaxed, hands-on workshop where you’ll design and make your own silver earrings.

During this workshop, you’ll be guided through the full process of making silver earrings, working with traditional hand tools at the bench.

You’ll learn how to:

• Measure and saw piece from sheet metal.

• Form and shape solid sterling silver

• Solder your earrings pins.

• File, sand and polish to a beautiful finish

By the end of the session, you’ll leave with a pair of finished silver earrings made entirely by you.

Each workshop is kept small and informal with up to 6 people, with plenty of one-to-one guidance throughout.

The class is at her home studio just outside Kilrea, unfortunately there is no public transport available. The class will last around 2- 2.5 hours. Would you like to learn to make your own set of silver stacking rings? Come to a class with Mairi where she will go through how to bend and form wire into a ring, texture a band, solder it together and polish it up. This class is perfect for beginners and you get to take away your rings at the end of the class. This is for complete beginners and one of our easiest classes. You will start with a silver disc and personalise with guidance from Mairi before attaching it to the chain, working with traditional hand tools at the bench.

You’ll learn how to:

• Stamp into silver.

• texture silver

• solder a jump ring

• depending on the design choice you may choose to learn to saw or file your piece.

By the end of the session, you’ll leave with a finished silver pendant personalised by you.
