Make Your Own Personalised Silver Pendant with Mairi

Join me in my jewellery studio for a relaxed, hands-on workshop where you’ll design and make your own silver pendant on 18inch silver chain.

This experience is about slowing down, working with your hands, and creating something meaningful, whether that’s for yourself or as a special gift for someone else.

No previous jewellery-making experience is required.

The Experience

This is for complete beginners and one of our easiest classes. You will start with a silver disc and personalise with guidance from Mairi before attaching it to the chain, working with traditional hand tools at the bench.

You’ll learn how to:

• Stamp into silver.

• texture silver

• solder a jump ring

• depending on the design choice you may choose to learn to saw or file your piece.

By the end of the session, you’ll leave with a finished silver pendant personalised by you.

Each workshop is kept small and informal with up to 6 people, with plenty of one-to-one guidance throughout.

The class is at her home studio just outside Kilrea, unfortunately there is no public transport available. The class will last around 1-2 hours. There is the option to make two personalised pendants if you opt for a very simple design and an additional charge of £55 for the materials for this. If you have any mobility/ dexterity issues please make Mairi aware of this in advance of booking.
